Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2025
1. Introduction
Mom&Dad Tracker ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.
By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
We may collect personal information that you provide directly to us, including:
- Name and email address
- Account credentials
- Profile information
- Voice recordings and notes you create
- Usage data and preferences
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you use our services, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device information (model, operating system, unique device identifiers)
- Usage patterns and interaction data
- Log files and analytics data
3. Onboarding and personalization data
We use onboarding to help you understand how the product works and to personalize your experience. The exact data depends on the specific onboarding flow you see.
- Website onboarding (current): the onboarding page type (for example: stress, conflict, communication, funny) and basic usage events (step navigation, completion). These steps are primarily informational and generally do not require you to enter sensitive personal information.
- Preferences you choose: if you enable reminders or set preferences, we store those preferences (for example: reminder time and notification settings).
- Program progress: lessons completed, timestamps, time spent, quiz scores (if present), and progress/streak metadata.
Storage note: in the web app, progress and some preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage. If you sign in, your progress may also be synchronized to our cloud database (Firebase Firestore) under your account to enable cross-device access.
Please avoid entering highly sensitive personal information into free-text fields (for example: medical records, diagnoses, or details that could identify a child) unless the feature explicitly requires it and you are comfortable doing so.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Process and analyze voice recordings and notes
- Generate insights and recommendations
- Send you updates, notifications, and support communications
- Ensure security and prevent fraud
- Comply with legal obligations
Personalization and profiling: we may use your onboarding choices, preferences, and product usage to personalize content (for example: ordering, recommendations, reminders). This is automated personalization, not a medical diagnosis.
5. Data Storage and Security
Some data may be stored locally on your device or in your browser (for example, progress in local storage). If you choose to sync across devices by signing in, data may be stored in our cloud database to support that sync.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With your explicit consent
- To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests
- To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
- With service providers who assist us in operating our services (under strict confidentiality agreements)
Cloud providers: if you sign in and enable synchronization, your progress data may be stored and processed by our infrastructure providers (for example, Firebase). This is used to provide the Service.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access and review your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt-out of certain data processing activities
- Export your data
To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address provided below.
Local storage: if you use the web app without signing in, some data is stored only in your browser. Clearing your browser storage (or using the app’s reset features) will remove that local data from the device.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are designed for parents and families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes, such as maintaining your account, supporting synchronization, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations.
If you use the web app without signing in, your progress may remain stored locally in your browser until you delete it (for example, by clearing browser storage).
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
